I’ve never been so scared. My dad is a doctor who works for UPMC in the trauma department in Pittsburgh.
The virus has sent so many people to the facility that he’s had to work overtime to be able to help.
Every day more and more stories of people getting sick of all ages. My dad's understandably really stressed.
I am the oldest of four sisters and during this whole pandemic I’ve had to step up and help to keep our family from breaking down in fear.
Noelle is the youngest; she's only two. She’s been nothing but a ray of hope through all of this. A reminder that no matter how dark and scary things get, Noelle will always have that beaming smile and giggle that can chase the dark clouds away.
Recently, she’s changed her favorite playtime activity from hide-and-seek to playing Doctor Noelley. “Daddy is a Doctor and I am a Doctor,” she says.
She carries her little medical bag around and does check-ups on her toys, sisters, and sometimes the dogs.
She always makes sure that once she’s done helping her “hurt” patients to give them a kiss and say “all better.”
"I think that right now, everyone could definitely use a check up from my sister, Doctor Noelley."
