I thought when you spend so much time with someone you would get sick of them, but I still hate when she leaves.
"Everyone seems to be losing their minds being locked up, but I have been having the time of my life."
The day before Ohio went into lockdown my girlfriend moved in with me. She has been a really close friend for about 10 years. I'm not going to lie, I did really like her for most of it, but I didn't have any luck. We were always close and had too much fun together. She was always special to me. After I finally lost hope, she kissed me! It was worth the wait. Since then, we have been closer than ever.
Quarantine has got nothing on us. It has been like living with my best friend. Since we have been trapped, she has been a cleaning machine. I have been working a few days a week and it's really nice to come home to a clean house. We have been planning meals at the beginning of the week and cooking together every night.
We even started having small dinner parties where our friends will bring something to cook and we all cook together. Dinner parties then turn into game-night. Game-night eventually turns into movie night. On nice days, we try to stay active. We have gone on a few bike rides and nature walks.
Altogether, it has been a lot of fun being quarantined. I thought when you spend so much time with someone you would get sick of them, but I still want to throw a fit when she leaves.
Being with her has made me feel hopeful for the future.
This pandemic is more serious than we thought, which is scary, but we are all in this together. This global crisis may bring the globe together. I am so blessed to be around good people through this insane time.
