“Growing up, my school was 6 miles away. I lived in midtown Manhattan and went to school in the Bronx, New York. Every morning, at 7:20, I would leave for the train station on 125th Street. There was this guy on my train with his blue razor scooter.
I thought he was the man, riding around on a scooter, even though he was a middle-aged guy.
I would always watch him get off the train and ride off into the distance. I wanted to be that man. When I was 17, I received a $100 Amazon gift card and bought a scooter. Bringing my scooter has made traveling around campus a lot more convenient.
The best ride is from Oddfellows. I can either cut through Main Street or zip past Carr Hall. After class I typically zoom downhill. It's such a rush!
You can see all these people pass and feel the wind on your face. I’m this big ass dude. Imagine me on a scooter! It pulls a lot of attention -- that thing pulls chicks."
